SACRAMENT OF BAPTISM FOR CHILDREN
—Infants: Newborn children of at least one Catholic parent should be baptized as Catholics shortly after their birth. Parishioners with
newborns should complete a Baptismal preparation form (available online or hard copy) and call Fr. Plummer at the Parish Office to
schedule a preparation class.
—Children younger than 7: are baptized “as infants.” See above.
—Children 7 and older: if unbaptized, these typically receive Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist at the annual Easter Vigil, after preparation. Contact Father Plummer at the Parish Office to arrange preparations (301) 292-0527 #101.
ORDER OF CHRISTIAN INITIATION OF ADULTS (Formerly known as Rite of Christian Initiation of Adults)
This is required for unbaptized adults who wish to become Catholic, non-Catholic Christians who wish to be received into Full Communion with the Catholic Church, baptized Catholics who wish to receive Confirmation and/or Eucharist, as well as any other inquirers are welcome.
